Changes I'm making.

Changes I Had To Make

I had to make some changes to my story as my original idea was becoming too complicated and long. When watching back over the footage i filmed for my original storyline I decided it was more of a short film then an opening. The main idea that I decided to get rid from the first story board is the kidnapping of the child as after long thought i believe that the main events of a film usually don't happen at the start. I got the feeling that I was trying to cram too much into an opening. One other change i madd it terms of storyline was also why this man owed money to a gang. In my previous storyboard i made it clear to show the money was owed because of drugs however I've decided to change this to making the reason nuclear and not stated throughout the opening as i believe this adds more suspense and leaves the audience questioning and wanting to watch more.  It terms of length of my film the original idea would have taken it to around the 3 minute  mark as opposed to the 2:10 cut of time. Here is my new storyboard which I believe to be more simple whilst still keeping the suspense.

Mise-en scene

Costumes: Street clothes such as tracksuit, jewellery and caps.

Lighting:  Natural lighting i.e. the sun. Most will be filmed in the afternoon and early evening. In the alleyways i will be only using streetlights in order to keep the shot dark.

Actors:  i will be having a group/gang in my opening which will include 5-6 of my friends, i also will need a child who will be played by my younger brother and his 'parent'

Make-up: None will be used.

Settings:T
Most of my Film will be filmed at my house and around the drive. In this last scene, where we see the group walking off with the child towards the train station,i decided to shoot this scene here because the bridge adds a sense of fear due to the darkness it produces.

I will also be filming in my back garden and an alleyway in order to again create a sense of fear.

The gang decided to get their own back on the father, discovering a back path that lead to the families garden. They decided to kidnapp their son leaving the family in shock and in disbelieve. where the boy has gone who knows....
